WE AND THE WORLD
If people do not resist injustice (evil), to the grief of others, do not participate in their elimination, silently turn away from these questions,—because they have everything in relative order, either because of fearfulness, or because of hard-heartedness,—then the opposite situation may soon occur, in which the same injustice and grief is comprehended by these people themselves and their relatives! And others—also will not pay attention to it!
ATthe story of A.P. Chekhov's "Gooseberry" says so:
“At the door of every happy person, someone should stand with a hammer and remind him with a thud that there are unhappy people, that sooner or later the trouble will come to him, andno one will see or hear him, as he now does not see or hear others. But there is no man with a hammer, he lives happily for himself, and small everyday concerns worry him slightly, like an aspen wind, and everything is fine. ”
In other words,if we hope that the world will change for the better without our participation in it, then such hopes are illusory.
And the phantom - is not only deceptive, but also harmful, because it distracts and turns away from the vital and the main thing!
Today we can still manage to change ourselves, our future and the world, but can we tomorrow! Unfortunately, it often seems to us that it is still early today! But tomorrow may be too late! The life and death were offered to us by the Lord, a blessing and a curse (Deut 30:19, 20).
So let us choose life so that we and our offspring live!To live a spiritual life, in righteousness, justice, truth, prosperity, the fear of God! And not in flattery, hypocrisy, partiality, lies, deceit and fear!
Lord, help us to distinguish truth from falsehood, Your holy will from cunning!
Give us the wisdom to understand your will and the strength to fulfill it. Amen.
