The construction of the part of the Silk Road from the Central Ring Road to Kazakhstan will require 784 billion rubles, - AvtodorJune 17, 2017
Innokentiy Alafinov, who is the first deputy chairman of the Avtodor Group of Companies, recently told reporters that the construction of only one part of the Silk Road corridor, which will run from the Ring Road to Kazakhstan, will require 784 billion rubles -2050 will need another 407 billion rubles, if you count in prices this year.
The construction of a single transport corridor Europe-Western China was talked about back in the 2000s. The total length of this route from St. Petersburg through Moscow, Orenburg, Almaty and to Khorgos is 8.5 thousand kilometers.Of these, a little more than 2 thousand across Russia, 2.8 thousand kilometers in Kazakhstan, as well as 3.4 thousand across China. The presidents of Russia and Kazakhstan signed a memorandum of cooperation several years ago.
At the moment, there is no modern highway between European countries and China, through which goods can be delivered much faster than by water. In addition, near the tracks there are services where you can select autogents for a gazelle or other truck, and also order the installation of this autotent. For the construction of this highway is planned to attract funds from budgets of different levels. Russian private companies and foreign businessmen may also take part in the construction. The project can be carried out by several companies, the form of partnership will be chosen depending on the traffic. It is planned that some sections of the highway will be paid for the passage of transport. According to Avtodor's specialists, the fee from the Central Ring Road to Kazakhstan in the years of operation can reach more than 1 trillion rubles, if we assume in prices of the current year.
The cost of the project in the Ministry of Transport did not comment. However, the Ministry of Finance proposes to reduce the cost of this construction from the budget, but private investors are not particularly eager to invest in long-term projects. It was on this that Azret Guliyev, who represents IFC “Solid”, laid emphasis. In conclusion, he stressed that it would be rather difficult to find investors for such a long-term project.
