Pension MIA in 2019: the latest solutions
The pension in the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2019 can change radically. It is planned to introduce several legislative amendments on changes in the size of pensions, as well as on length of service.
Increase of years of service
The government proposes to make changes to the pension of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2019, according to which the mandatory term of service will be increased. If now it is 20 years, then soon it can be increased to 25 years. Moreover, by 2035 the period of compulsory service can be increased to 30 years, which will seriously reduce the burden on the state budget.
Possible innovations are caused by the economic crisis in the country and the need to reduce government spending, including the payment of pensions to state employees. In addition, the Government believes that the extension of the term of compulsory service will help the Ministry of the Interior itself, as experienced and proven employees will have to stay longer in the service, whereas now for the most part they retire as soon as possible.
The recent decisions about the pension of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2019 indicate that the Law on the increase in the length of years of service requires an elaborate design. As of July 2018, there is no specific project, so it is possible that by 2019 there will be no changes in the pension of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Pensions are indexed annually, due to which they grow by a certain percentage. So, in 2018, the size of the indexation was 3.7%. The size of the index for 2019 has not yet been determined. In turn, it should be noted that the level of indexation largely depends on the growth rate of consumer prices.
In addition to this, the increase in pensions at the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2019 is possible due to a change in the special reduction coefficient. Thus, the pension for employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is calculated on the basis of their salary (plus premium for rank, military service, etc.) multiplied by a reduction factor (common to all) and multiplied by multiplying factors (if any). The reduction factor is 69.45%. By 2019, it is planned to raise it to 71%. Also, the government is considering the possibility of raising this ratio to 100% by 2035. However, in this case, the situation is similar to possible changes in seniority. There is no official draft law yet, and it is possible that it will not appear by 2019. In this case, the pension of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be increased only by the established percentage of indexation.
Can I cancel a pension?
At the moment, Interior Ministry officials can count on the following types of pensions:
- by disability.
We are not talking about the abolition of the pension of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2019. The only thing, as already indicated above, the term of compulsory service can be extended from 20 to 25 years. Information about how they will extend the service (in stages or one time) and when this happens, not yet. It is possible that the extension of service will not be at all.
