Decorative concrete for facade elementsJanuary 26, 2018
Most of the facade elements in our time in country houses are made ofdecorative concrete. But from this material can be done not only elements for the facade of the house.
It can be paths, walls, columns, floors, countertops, sinks, pilasters, sculptures. And this is not a complete list of what can be made from decorativeconcrete.
Even from it, you can create trees that are not different from the real ones. The decorative effect of this material is reflected in the very texture of the front surface, its structure, design and color.
Such fillers can serve as glass, granite, ground marble. This allows the finishing material to completely imitate the surface of natural stones. At the same time, they are not inferior in strength.
In order that over time the color does not lose its brightness, the color range that will be weather-resistant is obtained using dolomitized and marble-like limestone as large aggregates.
Dolomite is a sedimentary rock. Intended for finishing facades of houses and other structures, facing plates made of decorative concrete are divided into lime-silicate, gypsum, magnesia and cement. Magnesia and cement plates have both a smooth and raised surface.
They are also like silicate used most often for external cladding. But in some cases, they are used for the purpose of interior decoration. Gypsum and magnesia plates, as a rule, are used for interior decoration, but it is possible that they can also be used for exterior decoration of houses.
The technology of applying decorative concrete to walls is about the same as that produced on surfaces of the horizontal type. So, first concrete is applied, the thickness of which is from 1 to 2 cm. Then a decorative coating is applied to it.
The thickness, color and texture of the layer applied to the surface of the material must be uniform. This, in fact, simple technology allows you to create any image on the surface of concrete - from painting to graphics.
Modern technologies make it possible to compete with polished granite for smoothness or to be a serious competitor to an ancient stone if the surface is rough. This concrete can even give the characteristic marble veins.
Domestic manufacturers of such artificial stone are used, as a rule, in the production ofof the materialexpanded clay, portland cement, dyes, the origin of which is only natural. To increase strength, special additives are used for the production of concrete.
Manufacturing technology of this artificial stone is not difficult. Concrete dough after it is mixed, poured into forms. As a result, an unusual tile is formed. It is flat on the one hand, and on the other it has the texture, shape and color of a necessary or given natural stone.
Interestingly, invented solely for the purpose of facing socles, decorative concrete is practically present in any construction. Resins such as carbamide and acrylic, polymer concrete, and cement can form its basis. The stone from decorative concrete not only serves as decoration of facades of houses.
