Changes in the exam 2019 in physics
According to the results of 2018, physics steadily holds the second place in popularity among graduates preparing for the Unified State Exam - 29% of potential applicants chose it, and what is pleasing is that there is a clear positive growth trend compared to previous years. Consequently, the regiment of techies in our country arrives, and this, of course, is wonderful.
What is remarkable, unlike many other subjects, they were afraid to change something in the procedure, composition and complexity of the USE 2019 in physics at the Ministry of Education and Science, but, nevertheless, a number of cosmetic changes nevertheless manifested.
Well, let's try to think about it, dear future engineers, geologists, biophysics, electronics engineers and IT specialists, how best to build their preparation for this, in truth, not an easy test, relying on already known and predictable innovations in it, also on the experience of previous years.
What's new in the exam in physics? All about the specifics of
From this specialized exam by choice, starting from 2018, a maximum 52-grade mark can be achieved (there used to be 50). This growth is due to the banal addition to the list of tasks for question No. 24, entirely devoted to astrophysics.
For the first part, ending just this new 24 task, you can get up to 34 points, and for the last part, in which the answers can be short or unwrapped - up to 18. A point is awarded for 1-4, 8-10, 13 -15, 19, 20, 22, 23, 25-27, and for perfectly executed others - two points each.
In addition to including the new section of astrophysics, the tasks of the 4th, 10th, 13th, 14th and 18 slightly expanded the filling of the lines, otherwise everything will most likely remain in the same way in 2019.
As for the dates of the meeting, the entire USE session (main), traditionally, is held from May 29 to June 19, and in 2018, for example, for physics was assigned on June 7. The specific number for the year 2019 is certainly not yet known, but it is expected that the examination period will fit approximately in these periods.
You can take with you a non-programmable calculator, in which trigonometric functions are available, a ruler, and all the necessary reference data are already contained in the graduated KIMs.Also, if necessary, you can take food and medicines with you, but forms and drafts are issued on site. Yes, by the way, the forms themselves, starting this year, will be printed right during the exam, which is usually given 3 hours 55 minutes.
What to expect from the tasks?
All work is divided into 2 parts, in which, a total of 32 tasks with gradually increasing complexity and different response format - short or expanded. Will it be difficult? As the compilers themselves note, children go to this USE, for whom physics really is a core discipline, that is, at least - those who study it in the physical mathematics classes, and even in specialized lyceums or gymnasiums. But, at the same time, there is no Olympiad level (even the district level) there, even for the last - the most difficult tasks.
The new 24th task, as already noted, revolves around the astrophysical section of science - there you have to select a couple of correct statements based on the given data plate for different space objects (maybe another form of information presentation). Something from the field of definitions of stellar magnitude and characteristics of stars, planets and other celestial bodies.
Some recommendations on how to prepare
When starting to prepare for this exam, of course, everyone decides for himself, based on the level of knowledge and individual characteristics, as well as on the intensity of loading in other subjects. In order to evaluate it adequately, it is recommended, approximately one year prior to delivery, to try to solve some version of the finished ones, which are sold both by books and posted online, for example, on the site of the same FIPI. And if serious problems come to light, it’s better to sit down at the books as soon as possible, of course.
It is recommended to write a separate summary of the topics, broken down along the lines of the directions of assignments, from laws and formulas, after which you can begin to memorize them, as well as to tamper your hands on solving specific problems.
In principle, school textbooks and problem books for this should be enough, but special methodological materials that will purposefully train applicants to pass the exam in physics will be very useful. Of course, it’s good if you have the opportunity to work with a tutor, or, at worst, there is a person who can help with difficult tasks, check the correctness of the decision in time, if the numbers are not taken from the textbooks.But, in principle, physics is such a subject in which it is quite capable of preparing and independently, not to mention the fact that the tasks themselves in the options, in their essence, do not suffice stars from the sky.
When the work itself is written on the exam, it is important to remember when making quantitative calculations in the process of solving problems that all of them are formed in such a way that in the end you get an integer number or a final decimal fraction. These are questions from the first to the fourth, from the eighth to the tenth, from the fourteenth to the fifteenth, and also to the twentieth question and from the 25th to the 27th.
As for task 13, the answer is usually a word, while for 19 and 22 tasks a solution is provided in the form of a pair of numbers (written in a row without spaces, for example, 1.40.2 is 1.40 +/- 0.2) . For tasks 28 through 32, the entire course of the decision should be recorded as detailed as possible in the standards adopted in the school curriculum, and for all other questions, a sequence of two numbers should be entered in the forms.

Otherwise, it is safe to say that nothing cosmic, except for the mentioned problem in astronomy, the Unified State Exam in physics in 2019 does not promise - it is quite realistic to prepare for it. The main thing is to learn to carefully read the condition and meticulously fulfill its requirements, accurately record the answer in accordance with accepted rules and, of course, the proper time and amount of effort to spend on preparation.
